Sabine Lichtenfels - Spiritual Work

Encountering the stone circle had a deep impact on all my further spiritual and practical research work. As a theologist I had already worked for many years in the area of spirituality and religious research. In the last years I have been deeply interested in the sources of female religiousness, but I did not have any knowledge about Prehistory or even archaeological topics.

I was familiar with medium experiences, with dreaming research and with light meditation as source of information. Even past life trances were not strange to me, but through the encounter with the stone circle I came in touch with a kind of lively tangible spirituality I had not experienced before. I call it Earth spirituality. I can also say that I was directly in contact with the goddess. In this situation, the earth herself appears as divine, sacred and soulful; you can experience her in her divine dimension, whose different aspects you can contact. It was possible to directly communicate with all living beings. The stone circle also made me look at a kind of inner goal figure, I call it the Entelechial Being. Everyone carries it inside of him or herself and actually, one could be in contact with it all the time. In connection to this higher self I met new perspectives for the existence of human beings, to have a more protected life and for a new form of human community, i call this the prehistoric utopia.

The religiousness that was given to me, is no religion in the way we know it. It is not a religion of comfort and you cannot find it in the afterworld. It is a religion of creation. The religion is life itself. There are no miracles needed because the whole life, its laws and secrets are the great miracle."
