To all Peaceworkers,
This is the Ring of Power Team addressing you, as Sabine Lichtenfels is not always able to connect to the internet, while in Colombia:
The world is a continuum, an entity. Conflicts that lead to jealousy and depression in our side of the world will express themselves as violence and murder on the other side of the world. Millions of people on Earth are affected by this global violence. The inhabitants of San José de Apartadó in Colombia are amongst them.
They have formed a Peace Community in order regain their dignity, their language and the courage and perspective for a different future. In the past five years, Tamera has supported them in this process.
At the moment, twenty co-workers from Tamera are in San José, under the leadership of Sabine Lichtenfels. They help burying the victims of the last massacre in a dignified way, and mainly they are there in order to offer a peace education entitled "Creating Models for Peace". (Current diaries from the participants are available in German and English: http://www.tamera.org/index.php?id=679)
At the same time, a group of people holds a vigil in the IGP (Institute for Global Peacework), in Tamera, maintaining a light channel and global net of light. Remember, the world is a continuum. Not only violence and conflict have a global effect, but also solutions and a perspective for peace have the same global effect. All solved conflicts, all insights and decisions taken for a new life - for a non-violent, free of suppression, flawless life - creates light. This light generates healing within us and in the world, also in Colombia, both in victims and perpetrators.
The village and its inhabitants are continuously suffering from extreme threats. In the following days, a political action will be launched, as international attention is the best way of protecting this community. We ask all peaceworkers worldwide to participate in this action. Please stay in touch with us. In the next few days, we will post more information on the following website: www.tamera.org
In the last moment, some lines come directly from Sabine Lichtenfels in Colombia:
We are sitting high in the mountains at the Casa Julio, after a two-hour climb. This is the place where Alfonso, a member of the Peace Community was murdered. Here on the summit we are glad to have reception and therefore we can send you greetings from the jungle of Colombia. It is shocking to witness how the peace community commemorates their murdered comrades, and get growing strength from it, for the non-violent resistance against a corrupt system and for creating new perspectives for life. In the past two months, inspired by their visit to Tamera, they have established a small "village" in the middle of the jungle, for the development of a "political monastery," as they call it.
Thank you for the miracle of morphogenetic field building.
Text of Empowerment: The Goddess roars in us From: Sabine Lichtenfels: Grace - Pilgrimage for a Future without War. Meiga Publishing, 2006
We begin to help ourselves by helping others right there where help is needed. Recognise the structure of war in the smallest!
This will make it easier to see through it in the larger sense. First of all begin to look within yourself, then in your close environment and your community! Finally you will see that it is not an individual failure.
What are needed are totally new social structures, a new religiousness, a new abode for love and truth and trust, for this insanity to come to an end.
Sentence of empowerment: We help ourselves by helping others.
With best wishes!
Sabine Lichtenfels
