To all Peaceworkers,
While I am in Greece leading a seminar on the subject of "Peace between the Genders", Benjamin von Mendelssohn and Aida Shibli are in Israel to meet with Patch Adams. Today, together with a group of international demonstrators, they will try to enter Gaza. At the same time in Palestine, Sami Awad leads a group on the subject of "Leadership in Palestine," a training in non-violent Palestinian resistance.
The outer political situation in the Middle East gives little reason for hope. Despite addressing inner processes of the soul in the groups, we realize how the core of fear lodged in the nerve center of our body keeps generating drama, fear, anger and war. It is as if human consciousness is run by these deep zones. Miracles occur now and again, when suddenly the consciousness in the deep zone wakes up and switches from fear to trust.
Humanity will have to work on these deep zones if it wants to deliver the Earth from war. May the channel of consciousness within ourselves open to the divine consciousness of universal love. This will lead us automatically to new forms of society, to new behaviors in our partnerships, and to new relationships with plants, humans, animals, and all beings. It is a small but very comprehensive twist we have to carry out.
God is waiting for the human being.
Text of Empowerment:
Future without War by Dieter Duhm, The War Society and its Transformation

The world-wide war is rooted in the deepest structures of our civilisation and therefore cannot be overcome through appeals for peace, enlightenment and resistance. Global peace work needs a new global concept for a future without war.
…
There is a solution. We can recognise it if we look at the whole of contemporary life on earth from a great enough mental/spiritual distance.
See the earth as a living organism, whose organs are connected to each other through certain frequencies. You yourself are an organ of this organism.
Through your thoughts, words and deeds you send out certain frequencies which serve either peace or war.
We can recognize that we are a part of the global war as long as we are controlled by thoughts of fear, anger or revenge.
Consequently, let us create places where we find the strength to no longer resonate with the powers of war – neither those in the world nor those in ourselves.
