To all Peaceworkers,
As it becomes more and more obvious that the giant social systems will not continue to survive under the old structures, the question "Do we have to live in community?" is confronting us more often.
How does change happen?
What needs to be done?
What needs to be done for people living in the big cities? Do we all have to learn to do "Forum"? How does truth and transparency among people happen?
How should people behave if they want to form community but have no training or experience in how community works? We are starting a course in Tamera that will focus on the following question:
"What needs to be done worldwide so that the global process of healing can proceed?
And how do we support the path of healing rather than the fear of catastrophe?"
I do not believe that the American Indian saying "only tribes will survive" (a quote that originated in the 70s) is true. I believe that we are all challenged to think about the fact that life functions communally, that we all have to learn what it means to actualize love, truth, transparency and compassion among human beings. This will lead us to adopt completely new forms of behaviour.
I have chosen a text of empowerment by Peter Caddy, founder of the Findhorn Community in Scotland.
In his book "In Perfect Timing" we can study and understand what it means to leave behind old behavioural patterns and to surrender to inner guidance.

Having passed on the responsibility to God, we knew that we would never be let down. At Findhorn we were living in the moment with little regard for the past or future - God can only be found in the moment - and in this way were leading a much richer life. It would have been pointless to explain our approach, open as it was to misinterpretation.

When we returned to Findhorn, we realized that we had a window on the world through television, but even that didn't convey just how bad the general atmosphere in the world was. We had no desire to dwell on that, however, striving instead to keep our thoughts and conversation positive. At the birth of a baby, it is wiser for the mother to focus on the beauty and perfection of the child who is being born, rather than on the pain and suffering involved. In the birth of a new age, it is important to concentrate on the positive and so help to create and build it, rather than get caught up in the destruction of the old.
Sentence of Empowerment: In the birth of a new age, it is important to concentrate on the positive.
With best wishes!
